Senior Software Engineer - Sequencer
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize your knowledge of object-oriented design, user interface development, and Windows internals to contribute to the design and development of the Softricity Sequencer, a key SoftGrid component used to package Applications for on-demand computing.
- Design, implement, and support the Sequencer's core engine and user interface.
- Analyze requirements, write functional specifications, and create technical designs.
- Design the layout of and implement user interfaces.
- Code, debug, and unit test Windows applications.
- Assist support specialists in troubleshooting the interaction of software applications with the Sequencer.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5+ years of experience developing C++ applications for Windows using Microsoft development tools is required.
- Experience working with the Windows registry and programming APIs is required.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles is required.
- Experience developing C++ applications using STL, MFC, or both is a strong plus.
- Experience with kernel debugging tools, such as Soft ICE or WinDBG, is a strong plus.
- Experience with Rational Clear Case is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills are required.
- Ability to work well in a fast paced, team environment is required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
Education
- BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Applied Mathematics, or equivalent.
